ABOUT
San Francisco is a city of icons, but I have always been drawn to its quiet corners. Since becoming a father, my world has centered more deeply around my family, making my time behind the camera rare and intentional. These images are the result of that shift—found moments captured during my commute, in the brief windows between work and home.
With less time to wander aimlessly, I learned to move through the city differently: more alert, more curious, more willing to follow a fleeting moment. I found myself pausing at unfamiliar intersections, lingering in the half-light of early mornings, or crossing the street simply because something—a shadow, a gesture, a quiet exchange—caught my eye. Curiosity became my compass. Instead of searching for the grand scene, I leaned into the subtle ones: the ordinary rhythms that often pass unnoticed.
Boldness entered the work in quieter ways. It meant raising the camera when instinct said this matters, even if the moment was delicate or uncertain. It meant trusting my eye in crowded trains, quiet sidewalks, and fog-softened streets. Sometimes it meant stepping closer to a moment rather than observing from afar—allowing myself to be part of the city's flow rather than just a witness to it.
This magazine lingers on the unscripted—the human pulse of the city that exists beneath the fog and the landmarks. In these images, people drift through their routines, light bends between buildings, and the city breathes in small, unguarded ways. Together they form an intimate portrait of San Francisco simply existing within its own rhythm: unposed, unhurried, and quietly alive.
welcome to my route.
This magazine offers a closer look at my journey as a San Franciscan street photographer and serves as a map for others who aspire to become one. .
These 12 photographs are part of a curated selection for a March exhibition at Peak Design San Francisco. It’s an honor to have this work displayed in such an inspiring space. If you’re in the city, I’d love for you to see it.
Thank you PDSF for granting me this opportunity.
